Rebound boards

We install rebound boards for sports halls and gymnasia.

Rebound boards for internal use
Rebound boards can be used to create divisions or pitch areas within a larger area. They are ideal for dividing sports halls in half (often with a dividing curtain), creating and. Rebound boards are installed in sports halls to segregate playing areas and are often fitted along the same line as a dividing curtain. Rebound boards are used as a dividing wall between different games eg five-a-side football, hockey, basketball courts or badminton and can be used to segregate areas for CV or resistance equipment, making a safe walkway and for enclosing storage areas along the sides of sports halls, or to create areas within areas eg five a side areas. Our rebound board systems feature

  • Standard rebound board panels with or without kick plates
  • Gate sections to allow access
  • Inline posts, corner posts, 3 way posts and 4 way posts to create any layout required
  • Standard and special sockets to fit to almost any floor

Storage

Rebound boards include a wheel each end for transporting without lifting but are usually store in a wall mounted rack or on a special storage trolley.

  • Storage trolleys are available and will take up to 15 boards and posts - just wheel it to the side of each panel as you take them off to minimise lifting and wheeling
  • Alternatively a storage rack is a space efficient solution for storing boards and is ideal for fitting to the wall of a store room. The panels can then be removed and wheeled in and slotted into the storage rack which will hold up to 10 standard rebound boards and posts.

Freestanding rebound boards
Free standing pitch dividers are made with a sturdy rigid aluminium framework. Each unit is made up of durable and rot free interlocking plastic boards and these fit together with a male/female joining system. These do not require the installation of any floor sockets eg where underfloor heating makes the installation of sockets impractical. These can be made up as standard size panels, gates and smaller infill panels.
Size 1.22m long x 1.22m high x 620mm deep

OG Technical - Rebound boards

  • each board is 2.4m long x 1.2m high x 32mm thick (2.44m x 1.22m panels are also available)
  • each panel section with the 2 100mm steel end plates is 2500mm long and with posts will take up 2550mm centre to centre
  • 150mm steel kick plates can be fitted to the bottom edge of panels - useful where hard balls are being used - such as in hockey - or where very heavy use is to be expected kick plates can be fitted on both sides
  • standard colours are blue or green - a colour chart showing alternatives is available on request
  • each board is fitted with wheels to enable quick transport and handles are provided which fit into the ends of the boards to assist manoeuvring - end plates on each board have a locating hole for inserting a carrying handle and rebound boards are easily removed from the posts by two people using the lifting handles, one each end, and wheeled away (each end plate has a small wheel at the bottom) to a storage area or put on a storage trolley
  • gate sections are either 960mm or 1360mm wide - these can be installed wherever you need an opening for transporting equipment or as a through way. Gates can be made in non standard sizes to suit particular requirements and all long gate sections have a wheel at the outer end to support the section
  • panels locate on 40mm square steel posts at each end which fit into sockets inserted into the floor - by using corner posts, "T" joint posts and four way posts almost any combination of gates and boards can be assembled to create the playing areas most suitable for the hall eg the rebates for the five a side goals
  • sockets are installed at 2550mm centres
  • floor sockets are required for each post and must be installed in the floor by a specialist. These include caps so that when the socket is not in use and the post removed the cap can be fitted to leave a flush playing surface. The standard depth is 150mm but special lengths can be made for floors with large voids beneath
  • for five a side rebates we recommend a minimum of 5.1m width to allow for the thickness of the goal steel
  • storage trolleys can carry both boards and posts but we strongly recommend the use of racks
  • weights are
    • standard board 55kg
    • standard gate 25kg
    • light-weight board 35kg
    • light-weight gate 20kg
    • post 8kg
