Outdoor cricket nets and wickets

We supply and install cricket nets and wickets for cricket clubs, schools and other sports facilities.

Cricket nets

Cricket nets with wood posts which are supported with guylines to tension the top wires which hold the nets. Posts are wood, painted green and with spikes at the bottom for locating in grass and are available in 2.4m, 2.7m, 3m, 3.3m and 3.6m heights. Posts support a 4mm wire rope headline which suspends the netting and these are tensioned by guylines to pegs in the ground. Netting is 50mm x 2mm green or black polypropylene and on the sides/wing nets only (if roof netting is required then a full cage will be needed).

These are simple to erect and take down and come in the following sizes:
Single bay nets 5.5m long x 4.6m wide x 2.7m high, 4 poles, guylines and pegs and nets
Single bay nets 9.1m long x 4.6m wide x 2.7m high, 6 poles, guylines and pegs and nets
Double bay nets, 5.5 x 9.1m, 2.7m high, 7 poles, guylines and pegs and nets
Double bay nets, 9.1 x 9.1m, 2.7m high, 11 poles, guylines and pegs and nets
Double bay full length nets, 22 x 9.1m, 2.7m high, 15 poles, guylines and pegs and nets

Features
50mm x 2mm polypropylene knotted mesh
50mm round wood poles, painted green, spiked at the bottom and complete with guylines, runners and 100mm iron pegs
Poles available in 2.4m, 2.7m, 3m, 3.3m and 3.6m heights
180mm steel ground pegs for the netting

Cricket wicket divider nets

Cricket net dividing system ideal for dividing permanent wickets with 50mm green or black polypropylene wing nets. This features 2.7m or 3m high steel posts which fit in permanent ground sockets and support a tensioned steel wire from which the net is suspended. These run the full length of the wicket and allow the nets to be drawn back along the top wire to allow access eg for mowing the wicket or edges.

The system comprises 2 heavy duty galvanised steel 76mm square uprights, with green powder coating, one with a hook and one with a winch system, a 4mm wire cable, net and net hooks for running along the wire cable. The posts need to be fitted securely in the ground in the hinged lid sockets at a maximum span of 30m.

Nets are available in black or green and should be ordered separately. Nets are attached to the wire headline with zinc plated snap hooks or with stainless steel split rings. For the 2.7m high system order nets 2.85m x the required length and for the 3m high system order nets 3.3m x the required length. Roof nets can also be fitted up to a maximum length of 7.3m. For greater division lengths or heights above 3m see our pitch divider system.

Features:
1 2.7m or 3m high 76mm square winch post with ratchet tensioning device, galvanised, green powder coated
1 2.7m or 3m high 76mm square anchor post with hook, galvanised, green powder coated
2 hinged lid sockets 600mm deep (need to be installed in the ground)
4mm wire cable 30m
50mm x 2mm polypropylene knotted net, 2.85m or 3.3m high
Snaphooks or split rings every 300mm

Cricket net cage

Heavy duty cricket net cage with galvanised poles which fit into sockets concreted into the ground. These cages are excellent for providing side and roof netting for outdoor practice wickets and are relatively simple to install and are very durable. Side nets can be lifted to allow access for grounds maintenance equipment.

The tubes are heavy duty 42mm diameter 3mm thick galvanised steel uprights and top tubes fitting in 460mm ground sockets with base plates (which need to be concreted in). All the tubes are joined with galvanised elbow joints and top tubes have 11 net hooks for attaching the net every 300mm. Netting recommended is 50mm x 2mm green or black polypropylene netting which is fixed to the frame and held down to the ground with 18cm steel pegs

There are 2 standard sizes but we can make special sizes on request.
7.3m long x 3.6m wide x 3m high
7.3m long x 7.3m wide x 3m high
for double bays the centre wing net can be extended a further 7.3m to provide additional protection for the bowlers

Features:
42.4mm diameter 3mm thick galvanised heavu duty steel tube
galvanised clamp fittings for all joins
Uprights in 2 heights 2.7m or 3.6m above ground
ground sockets 460mm deep with base plates (need to be set in concrete)
netting hooks for roof net (these slide over the top tubes and 11 are required on each tube)

All weather cricket wicket

Cricket synthetic wicket surface for all weather use consisting of a woven polypropylene carpet laid over a shock pad on a stone or concrete base. The shockpad can be varied to create a different speed wicket where required. Any length can be installed though we recommend a minimum of 10m for the batting end and 8m for a bowlers end if you are not having a continuous 30m wicket.

Typical configurations:
10m batting end only
12m batting end with 8m bowlers run up (grass in between)
30m long complete wicket
all wickets comprise a 2.74m wide woven carpet laid on a shockpad 2.5m wide over an engineered stone base providing an all weather playing surface.
